Ubisoft has shared a look into the weapon customization settings players can expect in Assassin's Creed Shadows when the game releases on March 20. Assassin's Creed Shadows will be the first Assassin's Creed game set in Feudal Japan and will feature two playable characters, each with their own unique playstyles.

Assassin's Creed Shadows isn't the first game in the series to feature two playable characters. In 2015, Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which introduced the dual-protagonist system with Jacob and Evie Frye. This new entry in the series may have a wider appeal to fans, however, as Assassin's Creed Shadows can be played with mostly one character, each having a different focus. Yasuke, a historically inspired samurai, will feature a more action-oriented play style reminiscent of recent Assassin's Creed titles like Origins and Valhalla. On the other hand, Naoe, a shinobi, will embody the stealth-based roots of the series, offering a more traditional Assassin's Creed experience.
