Despite performance and visual issues on PC, Monster Hunter Wilds skyrocketed to the top of Steam charts, reaching one million concurrent players in just about six hours since launch. It is effectively the biggest game Capcom has ever put out. The devs are busy working on optimizing the game, but the numbers speak for themselves.
But maybe not what the series needs.
Other than the textures, there are a few issues that long-time fans have with the latest entry. For instance, players aren't impressed with the cooking mechanic, especially as compared to that of MH World. It was so adored in the previous games that players actually went to say goodbye to their favourite chefs. Another strange issue is the existence of Wyvern Milk.
At some point in the story, you'll come across the term 'Wyvern Milk'. For a game that requires you to cut off bits of monsters and harvest them into weapons, you may start wondering what ungodly act you'll have to commit in order to acquire this item. In fact, a number of players were bewildered that such thing even exists.
