A leak from the Epic Games Store suggests that Assassin's Creed Shadows could be the first Ubisoft-published game to incorporate Epic Games achievements on PC. Set for release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 20, 2025, Assassin's Creed Shadows is the latest game in Ubisoft's flagship open-world series.
Assassin's Creed Shadows might be one of the most highly anticipated releases in Ubisoft's long-running franchise. Almost since the launch of the original game back in 2007, fans have clamored for Ubisoft to release a ninja-themed entry in the series. After all, Japanese ninja are among the historical groups most famous for deadly infiltration tactics and stealth assassination, making them a natural fit for Assassin's Creed 's gameplay and structure. And thanks to its splitting gameplay between the samurai Yasuke and ninja Naoe, Shadows will also join the ranks of open-world samurai games, a surprisingly crowded subgenre.
