Although some members of these teams are simply having their priorities shifted to Far Cry 7, it appears that Ubisoft may also use this as an opportunity to restructure for agility in the development process.
The Far Cry series has stayed relatively quiet as the team at Ubisoft dedicates its time to working on the next installments. However, Ubisoft did issue recent Far Cry 5 and 6 updates, unlocking Steam achievements for both titles and confirming that achievement progress made in these games through Ubisoft Connect would be carried over to Steam for players' convenience. Ideally, changes like these are meant to hold fans over as they wait for the next games, but the upcoming projects may take longer than planned.
