You Can Sign Up For PlayStation’s New Beta Program Now, Letting You Playtest Future Games On Both PS5 & PC

Sony has launched a beta testing program for PlayStation users, promising access to a variety of different playtests. Similar to the Xbox Insider program, the new feature will allow players to try games early, both on PlayStation consoles and on PC (though it's not clear whether this refers to a cloud gaming service similar to Game Pass Cloud, or ports of PS5-exclusive games to PC, like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth).

Players can sign up for the new Beta Program via the official PlayStation website today. In order to be eligible, you must have an active PlayStation account in good standing - i.e., no bans, restrictions, or violations. That also means you'll have to live in a region where the PlayStation Network is available, and be of an eligible age. You'll have to sign into your PSN account and answer a few quick questions about which demographic you fit into, and what kind of games you enjoy. If you're approved, you'll receive an email shortly confirming your involvement.
