Activision has confirmed the Pro Skater 4 half of the recently announced Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 remake will not include the career mode from the original game, and fans are noticeably disappointed by the removal. THPS4 featured a complete revamp of career mode, allowing skaters to freely roam around the story mode setting and choose which tasks they wanted to complete without the hard two-minute timer. Unfortunately, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is the latest remake that will not have this luxury.

The original THPS3 was released in 2001 and notably became the last official release on the Nintendo 64. THPS4 was later launched in 2002, and both games reached critical acclaim, with THPS3 becoming tied for the highest-rated PlayStation 2 game, joining Grand Theft Auto 3. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 was leaked early ahead of its announcement, revealing the release date and the different editions up for grabs, fueled by a telling countdown on the series’ official website.
