Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation in a little over a month, and while fans of the franchise should be excited, it seems that PlayStation users are concerned about game preservation. Microsoft has revealed that Forza Horizon 5 will still require a Microsoft account, even on the PlayStation console. For those who purchase the Premium edition, the title will become available on April 25, while Standard edition players must wait a few more days as it releases on April 29.

According to VGC, a newly released FAQ section states,

"Yes, in addition to a PSN account you'll need to link to a Microsoft account in order to play Forza Horizon 5 on PS5. This process begins the first time you start up the game on your console."

While a PlayStation 5 port and a free content update for Forza Horizon 5 is exciting, the revelation of needing to log into a Microsoft account to play via PlayStation is not. Fans have already taken to social media to voice their concerns, claiming that this move is "very disappointing" and something many Forza fans won't support.
