Several VR titles from Insomniac Games that were recently delisted are set to return, giving players another chance to strap on the headset and experience them. Founded in 1994, the game developer released its first title, Disruptor, on the PlayStation 1 in 1996. Although it was a commercial failure, it received largely positive reviews from fans and critics. The strong reception likely helped Insomniac Games secure future projects, many of which would go on to achieve far greater success than its first foray into the industry.
Since then, Insomniac has built an impressive catalog of games, starting with its follow-up title, Spyro the Dragon, the first entry in the now-iconic series. The studio later created another fan-favorite franchise, Ratchet & Clank, debuting its first installment in 2002. In 2019, Sony acquired Insomniac, a milestone that coincided with the release of some of its most successful titles to date, including the massively popular Spider-Man games. Four titles developed by Insomniac Games are now delisted and unavailable for users to purchase.
