Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus has unveiled its first major expansion, The Tanuki Kabuki DLC, scheduled to release later in 2025. With this, developer Squid Shock Studios is set to enhance the experience offered in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, which came out in July 2024 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch.
As an action platformer, Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus puts players into the shoes of the titular protagonist, who must travel across a Japanese folklore-inspired world filled with mythical beasts. On this journey, Bo can use its shape-shifting staff and magical Daruma dolls to defeat a variety of enemies. Upon its launch, the Humble Games-published title received positive scores, eventually becoming one of the notable indie releases of the year. Most recently, Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus devs shared their plans to expand the original side-scrolling game with a host of additional content coming as part of the game's newly revealed DLC.
