Activision revealed new details about the returning Verdansk map and modes in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, which arrives on April 3. The Verdansk map has been rebuilt from the ground up for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, and players can expect a slew of new content accompanying Warzone's original battle royale map.
As Season 2 winded down, Activision confirmed that Verdansk would headline Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3. The Season 3 version of Verdansk is "95% a rebuilt version" of the original Warzone's Verdansk from March 2020, with the other 5% of the rebuild featuring new light adjustments and quality-of-life improvements. As a result, the map should feel very familiar to players who were actively playing 2019's Modern Warfare and Warzone, since Buy Stations, Points of Interest, Killstreaks, Easter eggs, and other elements remain the same. Some elements from the game's later seasons were added as well, including Metro Station entrances and other map changes. According to the developers at Raven Software, the main goal of Verdansk's return is to ensure it's the classic and nostalgic map that fans all remember.
