Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 appear to be around the corner, coinciding with the upcoming Nintendo Direct livestream scheduled to discuss specifications for the console.

IGN reported that, in a now-deleted blog post, tech mega-hub Best Buy Canada detailed how players could order the highly anticipated console, concluding with a statement saying the Switch 2 would be available for preorder on April 2. Other retailers, including Target and Walmart, have not yet provided information on the Switch 2, with searches for the console on their web pages directing to listings of already released games.

Nintendo has kept its plans for the Switch 2 under wraps since releasing an announcement trailer for the console. The trailer featured updates to the Joy-Cons as well as footage from a new Mario Kart game, teasing the launch of the racing series' next installment with the Switch 2's release.
