Warner Bros. Games has reportedly scrapped plans for an unannounced Hogwarts Legacy expansion, which was expected to roll out later in 2025. Following multiple studios and other in-development projects, Hogwarts Legacy's rumored DLC is the latest to bear the brunt of the American publisher's financial struggles.

Post the mammoth success of the 2023 action-RPG, Hogwarts Legacy, Warner Bros. Games grew increasingly interested in expanding the video game offerings under the Wizarding World franchise. However, its efforts towards that end were met with a lukewarm reception as Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions gradually spiraled into obscurity after its launch in September 2024. In the same year, the publishing giant also endured the ill-fated releases of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and MultiVersus. The repercussions seem to have spilled into the development of expected Hogwarts Legacy post-launch content, which is now understood to be no longer in the pipeline.
