Marvel Rivals Should Soon Run Better Than Ever Thanks To An Incoming Update

Marvel Rivals players on PC should brace for a major performance update, as Season 2 may herald a much-needed optimization fix. NetEase Games has done a remarkable job when it comes to supporting its hit hero-shooter, but when it comes to performance, it could do with some improvements. While it runs decently on computers that lack the recommended hardware, the amount of memory it needs for smooth gameplay and visuals can make even the most sturdy rig cry in pain.

Speaking to PC Gamer, director Guangyun Chen noted that the upcoming season may include an "experimental check box" in the launcher that allows players to reduce the amount of memory the game consumes "significantly." This is fantastic news for all PC players, given how much RAM is generally required to play Marvel Rivals: NetEase recommends 16GB as a minimum, but players meeting that criteria often complain about performance stutters. While Chen believes the check box could be added as soon as April, NetEase has yet to officially lock in a launch date.

It stands to reason that Marvel Rivals isn't as optimized as it could be, given that it's been developed using the relatively recent Unreal Engine...
