Capcom shared in a press release that Monster Hunter Wilds has sold 10 million units, setting a new record for first-month sales for the company. Capcom attributed the success of the game to a combination of a simultaneous release on PC and consoles, crossplay implementation for the first time in the series, and the game's blend of traditional Monster Hunter mechanics and new ideas. The press release added that new features like the Focus Mode mechanic and seamless movement between the settlements and biomes provided an "immersive gaming experience" for players.
