The latest Assassin’s Creed game finally takes the historical action franchise to feudal Japan, where a young shinobi named Naoe and foreign-born samurai Yasuke band together to hunt down the people responsible for the death of Naoe’s father. Assassin’s Creed Shadows would be faced with numerous delays and controversies leading up to its March 2025 launch, but the finished product has been getting good reviews so far.
While Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ review scores aren’t quite as high as some of the franchise’s most beloved entries, many players still see it as another solid installment with impressive graphics and differing playstyles between its two main protagonists.
