Less than a day before the Nintendo Switch 2 is showcased at tomorrow's Nintendo Direct, there have been several rumors and possible leaks, and this latest one might indicate that the Nintendo Switch 2 will have 4K and 60 FPS support. The original Switch was relatively underpowered, even at its release in 2017, so the Switch 2 possibly supporting 4K and 60 FPS — a staple of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X — might be just the thing Nintendo fans are hoping for in the Switch's follow-up.

Reddit user Fidler_2K's compiled information from Famiboards user Serif (whose post requires a registered user to view), containing possible leaked information about the Nintendo Switch 2's dock and HDMI converter. This info seemingly indicates that the console might have 4K and 60 FPS support, with the Switch 2 reportedly using a DisplayPort v1.4 to HDMI 2.1 protocol converter, which could enable some games to be rendered in 4K or 60 FPS.
