Although the Nintendo Switch 2 had a strong showing in terms of third-party support, new reports suggest that some of the games being ported to the system are making significant concessions in terms of performance. During the full reveal of the system on April 2, several third-party developers, including CD Projekt RED and FromSoftware, announced that major titles would be making their way to the Switch 2, but to make it onto the system, these games may also be facing performance downgrades.

According to Jason Schreier on BlueSky and Julien Chièze on YouTube (via Reddit), live footage and hands-on testing of Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch 2 have revealed that both games get around 30 FPS while docked, with Cyberpunk able to reach around 40 in performance mode, and both ports are graphically downgraded from other consoles. Schreier has additionally reported that Cyberpunk 2077 will cost $70 on the system, and, as confirmed by the official Cyberpunk account on X, will be the Ultimate Edition of the game, with Phantom Liberty included.
