However, despite the surprise, this isn't the first time that SNK games and the world of sports have met.

Living up to the trio name, Heavy D is a boxer, Glauber plays basketball, and Battler is a football athlete. In the Fatal Fury series, Michael Max is a boxer best remembered for his Mike Tyson-esque design. His teacher and friend, Axel Hawk, was introduced in Fatal Fury 2 as a sub-boss of the game.
