Game Rant can exclusively share the Star Overdrive launch trailer commemorating its imminent release. The open-world action adventure will be a timed Nintendo Switch exclusive.
Star Overdrive was initially announced during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase in August 2024. Developed by Italian studio Caracal Games, the game is described as a fast-paced action adventure combining open-world exploration with combat, platforming, and puzzle-solving. Its central traversal mechanic is tied to a customizable hoverboard, allowing players to quickly overcome great distances.
The following games may not be Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, but they will certainly scratch the same itch as Nintendo's open-world masterpiece.
Ahead of Star Overdrive's April 10 release, French publisher Dear Villagers shared its launch trailer, which Game Rant can exclusively reveal. The minute-long video teases the game's plot, on top of offering a few glimpses of some of its many enemies and environments. Hoverboard travel is featured prominently throughout the trailer, which also showcases the game's secondary traversal tool: a jetpack.
