It turns out the PlayStation 4 and 5 versions of Vampire Survivors will not be getting a previously promised and highly requested feature due to a legal issue with PlayStation. Developer Poncle said it was not aware of the legal issue before stating that the new feature would be coming to PlayStation consoles and that the studio will work to try and remedy this problem. But a fix doesn't seem likely, to the disappointment of PlayStation fans.
According to a post on the official Vampire Survivors X account, the PS4 and PS5 versions of Vampire Survivors will not feature cross-save in the game's next update, despite the feature being implemented on other consoles, PC, and mobile devices. The inability to include the feature is due to an undisclosed legal reason that "requires [the developers] to share info on [their] partners that [they're] unable to." Poncle promised in January that the upcoming 1.13 patch would introduce cross-save “to everyone, on all platforms,” enabling players to save their game on one system and continue it on another (via VGC).
