The latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise finally takes the long-running historical action series to feudal Japan and follows the tale of two playable warriors: the young shinobi Naoe and the real-life samurai Yasuke. These unlikely allies must journey across Japan in Assassin's Creed Shadows to track down and eliminate the members of a sinister conspiracy to both avenge Naoe’s father and bring justice to the land, all while the ancient battle between Assassins and Templars plays in the background.
Despite many pre-launch controversies, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been very successful since its release in late March. Reviews are largely positive, with many praising Shadows as a solid return to form that offers variety through its two playable characters.
