With AI (Artifical Intelligence) being used more and more in game development, one of the biggest worries game developers have about tech is that it might replace people, which would lead to more developers losing jobs.

While some might think that machines can never have the same creativity as a human, not everyone is on board with this idea. Some of the people who think game developers will lose jobs due to AI are Japanese game developers who have recently discussed it.

Yoko Taro Thinks We'll Live Long Enough To See AI Takeover Game Creators' Jobs

Taro and other Japanese developers shared their thoughts in a recent interview with Japanese gaming publication Famitsu (machine translated), where the developers were candid about AI's encroachment on game development.

Partaking in the roundtable chat were Kazutaka Kodaka and Kotaro Uchikoshi of Too Kyo Games. For those unaware, Kodaka is best known for creating the Danganronpa series, while Uchikoshi is popular in Japan for the Zero Escape visual novel games. Joining the duo are Jiro Ishii, the producer of the adventure video game Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, and Yoko Taro, the game director most known for the Nier franchise.
