The next major DLC for city-builder game Cities: Skylines 2 may be coming sooner than expected, with a recent update to Steam suggesting news about the DLC is close at hand. While not meeting the same levels of success as its predecessor, the Cities Skylines sequel has continued to see steady updates and improvements since its 2023 launch. The sequel has seen 13 different DLC packs added, including multiple building designs from popular content creators and a variety of music tracks. Now, the game's next DLC may not be far off.
Cities: Skylines 2 saw several massive updates earlier this year, ringing in the tenth anniversary of the beloved city-building franchise. The March anniversary update to the game brought 10 new Parks players could add to their in-game cities, alongside making improvements to how the game handles homeless citizens. The patch also shipped a laundry list of quality-of-life improvments for Cities: Skylines 2, making nearly 100 different changes from addressing crashes to improving the UI. Another major new DLC pack could now be seeing a major update soon.
