Ubisoft has revealed a content roadmap outlining the first year of post-launch support for Assassin's Creed Shadows. Future updates to the game will include fresh parkour mechanics, additional story content, and the introduction of New Game Plus, in addition to paid content like the upcoming Claws of Awaji DLC.
In a video from the Ubisoft YouTube channel, associate game director Simon and community developer Dan presented Assassin's Creed Shadows' Year 1 roadmap. It includes a variety of free content updates, including story additions like a new ally, abilities, activities, and backstory that will "permanently impact the game," in addition to new difficulty settings, updates to Shadows' photo mode, New Game Plus, special collaborations with other properties, updates to the game's parkour mechanics and other features, and additional codex information.
The roadmap also outlined the paid content that players can expect in Shadows' first year post-launch. Most notable is Claws of Awaji, an expansion said to offer roughly 10 hours of new content. Those who pre-ordered AC Shadows are already entitled to the expansion. Year 1 wil also bring new content to the Animus Hub: new items in the Exchange, new rewards, and unspecified projects.
