Borderlands 4 Reveals Extensive Gameplay in an Exclusive State of Play

Gearbox has showcased 20 minutes of Borderlands 4 gameplay with footage captured on PlayStation 5 Pro. The presentation revealed two of the four new characters, along with new mechanics, weapons, and more. Borderlands 4 Extensive Gameplay The game takes place on a new planet called Kairos, controlled by a villain known as the Timekeeper, who rules through cybernetic implants and a synthetic army. The story will revolve around freeing this oppressed population, featuring both new and familiar characters, creatures, and factions spread across four distinct regions. Among the new gameplay features are mechanics such as gliding, wall climbing, and driving a new vehicle called the Digirunner. Additionally, the weapon system has been revamped, allowing for piece combinations from different manufacturers, a new equipment system that enhances weaponry, and tools like the Rep Kit and Ordnance to offer more variety and strategy in combat. As for the arsenal, Borderlands 4 introduces three new weapon manufacturers—Order, Ripper, and Daedalus—each with distinct traits.
