Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be the official tournament game of the 2025 SNK Championship, SNK has announced. The new title will join The King of Fighters XV and Samurai Shodown, but will take the reins as the featured game. The prize pool is a whopping $2,500,000, with $1,500,000 going to the winner of the City of the Wolves tournament. Qualifiers for the tournament will begin following today’s launch.
According to multiple outlets, this is considered the largest prize pool for a single fighting game—even for its very first competitive run. For comparison, Capcom Cup 2025 will award $1 million USD to the winner of the Street Fighter VI tournament, with a total prize pool of $2 million—just shy of SNK’s offering.
