Grand Theft Auto 6 has officially been delayed to May 26, 2026, pushing it out of its originally planned 2025 release window. Rockstar Games had long maintained that GTA 6 would launch sometime in Fall 2025, but new reports suggest the studio was aware for months that this wasn’t realistic. Journalist Jason Schreier reported that “nobody I’ve talked to at Rockstar has believed Fall 2025 was a real window for a very long time now,” pointing to internal doubts and an overwhelming workload.
