Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Orders Via Nintendo Store Gets Important Update

The question that many Nintendo fans are asking one another right now is, “Did you get one?” As in, if you were a US gamer and you were trying to get a Nintendo Switch 2 last night, were you able to get your pre-order in? Many were not, as numerous sites crashed in the ATTEMPT to get the system. That alone should prove just how “in-demand” the Switch 2 is with just six weeks until its June 5th launch. However, others, including myself, are holding out for a different “pre-order” method. One that involves the official Nintendo Store.

Those who had Nintendo Switch Online accounts and had them for a good amount of time with serious gaming hours logged in were given an option to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 or the Mario Kart World bundle via the Nintendo Store. They would be given an “invitation” when the time came and could buy once it was sent. However, at present, it hasn’t been sent, and the official store page got an update that’s important to note:

Just as important, if you scroll down further, the official invitations aren’t set to be sent out until May 8th!...
