May 20 is Going to Be a Sad Day for PS Plus Subscribers

Tuesday, May 20 is going to be a sad day for PlayStation Plus subscribers, as that's when they have to say goodbye to a whopping 22 games, including a few heavy hitters. PlayStation Plus is updated on a monthly basis, with new free games given away at the beginning of the month and the Extra and Premium selection rotated in the middle of the month.

PS Plus subscribers are still waiting to hear what the new Extra and Premium games for May 2025 are, but they know what to expect from the Essential tier free games. Starting May 6, subscribers can claim the free PS Plus games for May 2025, which are Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun.

PlayStation Plus subscribers will soon be treated to a critically-acclaimed game that was one of 2024's Game of the Year nominees.

While PS Plus subscribers still don't know what the new Extra and Premium games for May 2025 entail, they do know what games will be leaving those tiers this month.
