Publisher Electronic Arts has officially reconfirmed that the next Battlefield game will launch by March 2026, and promised a full reveal of the game in Summer 2025. Though it doesn't have an official title yet, the next Battlefield game is in testing, and is being called Battlefield 6 by fans and commentators.
Despite a number of significant updates and refinements that improved its reputation among players, Battlefield 2042 never quite shook the sense of disappointment players had during the 2021 launch period. As a result, a lot is riding on the success of Battlefield 6. EA has been pulling out the stops in incorporating the community into the development process as well, by running frequent tests via the Battlefield Labs testing program, where players are able to experience new features and give feedback in real time.
