Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software has released a new update for the free-to-play shooter, nerfing both the HDR Sniper Rifle and CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle. The two weapons were added along with Call of Duty: Warzone's Season 3 update in April, quickly becoming fan favorites among the community. Unfortunately, both the AMAX and the HDR have now had their stats nerfed, along with a handful of other weapons.
Call of Duty's Season 3 update was a massive moment for the Warzone community. It not only saw the return of some iconic Modern Warfare weapons, such as the HDR and AMAX, but also brought back Verdansk, the game's first Battle Royale map. The map made its debut alongside Warzone back in 2020, but was replaced by Caldera in December 2021, much to the disappointment of players. Verdansk remained absent for over three years, until it made its triumphant return with the beginning of Season 3 last month.
Call of Duty players can currently claim a few free cosmetics for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, but only if they put in a bit of effort until mid-May 2025.
