Gearbox Software has revealed how some Borderlands 4 fans can play the game months in advance of its release date. Although Borderlands 4 isn't set to launch until September 12, 2025, some lucky gamers will be able to play the game well before that.
It has been six years since the last mainline game in the Borderlands series, and gamers have patiently waited for the next iteration to arrive. 2019's Borderlands 3 was met with a mixed critical reception, with particular criticism aimed at its disappointing story and writing style. However, when it came to gameplay, Borderlands 3 was better than ever, taking the looter shooter series to new heights. The hope is that Borderlands 4 will be able to do the same thing, albeit with a stronger story and better writing this time around.
