In just a few months, Starfield will celebrate its two-year anniversary. After what felt like a lifetime of waiting, Bethesda's most recent title didn't particularly set the world on fire like its contemporaries in Skyrim or Fallout did. Late last year, its Shattered Space expansion wasn't particularly well-received, with "Mostly Negative" reviews populating on its Steam page.

While rumors of a port to Sony's PlayStation 5 continue to swirl, it feels like so much of the hype that Starfield once had has migrated to the recent Oblivion remaster or other recently released titles. As a result, the modding scene for Starfield is apparently in a dire situation.
As first spotted by PC Gamer, creators of the Starfield Community Patch, a collaborative mod that sought to fix bugs, errors and other inconsistencies within Starfield, have not created a new update since September of last year. Previously, updates were being pushed on an almost monthly basis.
