Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 remake appears to have readjusted missions, making it possible for players to engage in longer, more exploratory gameplay in addition to the standard two-minute missions. The change makes the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 remake more like its original counterpart. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be released on July 11 with several purchase options, including one with early access.

Originally released in 2002, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 introduced an open-level design in which players could freely skate up to non-playable characters to receive missions. However, its predecessor, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, as well as the most recent addition to the series, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, have used the two-minute timer for challenges. This has worried some fans of the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4, who have been waiting to experience the same level of freedom in the remake.
