Marvel Rivals Players Think This One Major Stat Is Useless

As Marvel Rivals continues to enjoy widespread success, its dedicated players are digging into statistics, and a whole, prominent category may be almost useless as a metric of skill. NetEase's third-person game has become the latest phenomenon in the hero shooter genre, and Marvel Rivals' ranked playlist has predictably become a highly competitive environment.

Marvel Rivals' scoreboard displays a handful of pertinent stats on its in-game scoreboard for the whole lobby to peruse (and maybe use as ammunition if an argument ensues), but a number of players are growing convinced that displaying everyone's accuracy percentage is a useless statistic. Reddit user cal-nomen-official calls it "bizarre" to have accuracy included on the scoreboard, "especially in a game with destructible terrain" where ammo is used on the environment and not foes.

It is, however, important to delineate between accuracy, the stat, and accuracy, the ability to aim well. The latter is still important; players are simply arguing that the accuracy statistic is not a good metric as part of aggregating player skill.
