Confirmed: No Voice Chat in Elden Ring Nightreign and I’m Fine With That

With Elden Ring Nightreign less than two weeks away from release, there’s been a flurry of questions from longtime fans and curious newcomers alike. While the lack of crossplay remains a hot topic (which I previously addressed), another common question is whether Elden Ring Nightreign will support voice chat or not. Thanks to the event held during PAX East 2025, we now have an answer.

According to Oroboro, a popular Soulslike content creator who participated in the PAX East 2025 demo, Elden Ring Nightreign will not include voice chat.

Unlike the earlier network test many of us played, Oroboro had access to a final version of the game. This lines up with what I suspected all along, and honestly, I think the absence of voice chat is for the best.

The game does support a ping system, which is more than enough. If you want to coordinate with others, there’s always party chat on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. On PC, there’s Discord and a variety of other options.
