May 2025's additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers have been revealed, and there are some wonderful additions for RPG fans. May's PS Plus lineup began with Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, which are available to Essential-tier subscribers as well, but the service's newcomers are being expanded on May 20.
PlayStation Plus' Extra and Premium Game Catalog is getting a couple of enticing RPGs this month, namely Sand Land and Souls Hackers 2 (via PlayStation Blog). Both lean on the ever-popular aesthetic of anime, but Sand Land is notable for bearing the iconic style of the late, great Akira Toriyama. Sand Land is based on Toriyama's manga of the same, and heavily features vehicle customization and combat. Soul Hackers 2 has a distinct sci-fi slant as players work for a sentient artificial intelligence trying to stop an oncoming apocalypse.
