Kingdom Hearts Missing Link Has Been Cancelled

Square Enix, unfortunately, announced on Wednesday that Kingdom Hearts Missing Link has been cancelled after multiple years of development. Those nervous about Kingdom Hearts IV may be relieved to know that the series will continue, despite this setback. There hasn't been a new trailer for KH4 for over 1,000 days, though.

Missing Link is No More

"Although we worked hard on developing and adjusting the game in the hope that it would be enjoyed by lots of players, we determined that it would be difficult for us to offer a service that players would find satisfactory over a long period of time, leading us to the decision to cancel development," said the development team announcement posted on X.

Kingdom Hearts Missing Link was going to be an RPG that incorporated GPS technology into the experience. It was going to be released on iOS and Android and seemed to have a full-fledged action RPG system you'd expect from the console titles.
