Mortal Kombat 1 players really aren't happy that the game's post-launch support is seemingly already over since a Definitive Edition is being released, especially after being promised "years" of content.
Before Mortal Kombat 1 released, it was on a fast track to be one of the most exciting games to come from NetherRealm in a long while. The rebooted timeline, focus on bringing back 3D era characters, and unique Kameo mechanic all made Mortal Kombat 1 seem like a big reinvention for the series, and one that the studio had a lot of faith in and plans for.
