According to a reliable source in the Genshin Impact community, Skirk has received some interesting changes to her ability kit, implying that she will be a balanced character with some team flexibility. As a character, Skirk has been teased by Genshin Impact since Version 1.1. However, it wasn't until Natlan that HoYoverse finally took steps to make her playable. The first information that arrived about her ability kit revealed Skirk as a 5-Star Cryo Sword, but it wasn't until Escoffier that leaks started to connect her as a Freeze hypercarry.
Genshin Impact is certainly no stranger to Freeze hypercarries. Ayaka and Ganyu used to be staples of the meta for most of Inazuma before they were left behind in Sumeru with the emergence of Hyperbloom.
