Warning: Contains spoilers for The Hundred Line: Last Defense AcademyThe Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is one of the biggest JRPGs of 2025, and it might already be getting an anime. Hundred Line is the latest game from Kazutaka Kodaka of Danganronpa fame, and while many of his projects in recent years have been met with mixed reception, Hundred Line has been a certified critical and financial hit for its great character writing and amazingly ambitious storytelling.

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy’s success cannot be understated, and it might be even bigger than people are giving it credit for. Kazutaka Kodaka has been responding to countless fan questions on social media, and very notably, he recently said that The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy will get an anime if the game sells well. Some problems might get in the way of that, especially with the company that made the game, but the fact that an anime for The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is already being discussed is nothing but great to see.
