Physint creator Hideo Kojima has indicated that it's going to be quite a while before we get to play his new take on the "espionage action" genre he helped to pioneer.
In an interview with French cinema magazine Le Film Francais (thanks, VGC), Kojima talks about his love of film, and he also addresses the multiple video game projects he's currently working on.
As well as the upcoming Death Stranding 2, which is set to launch in June, Kojima also named Physint, which he says will "take [him] another five or six years" to make. He's previously stated that the production of the game was heavily impacted by SAG strikes.
Given that Physint was only revealed back in February last year and that Kojima's games usually sport both high production values and a lot of polish, I don't think anyone was expecting to see Physint for at least the next few years. Still, knowing it's that far away is a touch disappointing.
After Death Stranding 2 and Physint are released, Kojima says he might like to try his hand at making a movie; he says he "grew up with cinema" and that he'd prefer to make a film "while still young" if he's going...
