In exactly one year and seven days, we'll all — hopefully — be playing Grand Theft Auto 6. That's because the game was unceremoniously delayed to May 26, 2026, a date that Take-Two and Rockstar Games are both confident in reaching, and one that Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick believes is closer to a six-month delay due to how late the game was planning to release in 2025.

Speaking of Zelnick, when GTA 6 does finally come out, don't expect him to hop on the sticks and join us in Vice City. Despite being the CEO of one of the largest video game holding labels around, Zelnick isn't a gamer.
As first spotted by Dexerto, in an interview with CNBC, Zelnick revealed that he won't be playing GTA 6, a rather interesting factoid considering the number of gaming executives who actively play video games.
"I'm not a gamer, not a lot — I don’t play video games, I'm not the consumer-in-chief," he said.
