Details for upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ character Master Roshi have surfaced.
Images from an upcoming issue of Japanese magazine V-Jump have surfaced, giving us a few details about Master Roshi in Dragon Ball FighterZ (thanks to Event Hubs for the translation). One of the biggest reveals was the fact that Roshi will not have a Super Dash, which follows the canon of the Dragon Ball series, as the Turtle Hermit never learned to fly like the rest of the cast. While Roshi will not be able to Super Dash, he will be able to perform super jumps instead.
Master Roshi will come with a number of abilities that should help him stand out from the rest of the FighterZ roster. He will have a technique called the Thunder Shock Surprise, which cannot be blocked in mid-air. He will also have the Sleepy Boy Technique, which will temporarily stun enemies when they are blocking.
V-Jump also touched on Roshi's Super attacks. He will have the previously revealed Evil Containment Wave, which "seals" the target and forces the opponent to switch out to a new fighter when the attack lands. Roshi's second super is entitled "Muten Roshi, the World's #1." This attack sees Roshi use his cane for an attack, and can be ended with a Kamehameha, which may likely cost an extra bar of meter. Finally, Roshi's level 3 Meteor attack is the Ultimate Strongest Kamehameha, which will likely have him transform into his muscular appearance in order to deliver a powerful attack.
Master Roshi was revealed as a playable character for Dragon Ball FighterZ over the weekend. He will be the third fighter to be released as a part of the game's third Season, following Kefla and Ultra Instinct Goku. Two more characters will follow after Roshi.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
