Nintendo Switch 2 Production Now Being Helped Along By Samsung

One of the common questions that’s been happening since the Nintendo Switch 2 unveiling last month is about whether The Big N would be able to have plenty of units for launch and its immediate launch window. Based on pre-order numbers that we’ve seen/heard about, the answer might be “no.” This isn’t a new thing, as the OG Switch and the Wii both had those kinds of issues at launch. The difference here is that Nintendo truly knows that a surge in buys is coming, and they’re planning for it by teaming up with a different manufacturer to help get systems out.

As noted by Bloomberg, Nintendo has partnered with Samsung to help make Switch 2 units. Bloomberg further noted that while Samsung was already making certain parts for the system, this new deal would elevate the company further, as it has actually been struggling in the chip game lately.

Bloomberg further went on to note that because of this deal, it’s entirely possible for the Nintendo Switch 2 to reach 20 million units made by the time March 2026 comes around. If that holds true, and they’re able to sell all of them, that would put the system...
