Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 has been revealed for a 2026 launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It is the sequel to 2023's Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun and is developed by Auroch Digital, the British studio that also worked on the original.

A couple of years ago, the Warhammer 40,000 series was reimagined as a '90s-themed first-person shooter title, producing encouraging results. The launch of Boltgun was met with an overall positive reception, earning an average rating of 76 on OpenCritic, and received praise for its execution of the retro FPS style. Thanks to this success, there is a direct follow-up game currently in development at Auroch Digital, with Devolver Digital's Big Fan Games label taking care of publishing. It is just one of several different projects announced at the recently-concluded Warhammer event.
