Rumors are swirling that developer 2K may be poised to make a major BioShock announcement after alleged documents referencing Rapture, the main setting of the iconic action horror game, were uncovered. BioShock has been confirmed to be receiving an official film adaptation from Netflix, along with another sequel video game, but current reports suggest that a full remake or "proper remaster" of the original BioShock may be on the way.

Originally released in 2007, BioShock sees players taking on the role of silent protagonist Jack as he is forced to make his way through the sunken city of Rapture in an attempt to battle his way through deranged enemies and escape the desolate buildings.
