Nintendo has given fans another glimpse into the upcoming Mario Kart World, this time showing off what one of the overworld missions will look like. The newest entry into the Mario Kart franchise will arrive on June 5 as a launch title for Nintendo's upcoming console, the Nintendo Switch 2. In the ninth installment of the racing game, players will be able to leave the race tracks and freely explore the world surrounding them, adding a new layer to the classic series.
To incentivize players to explore the world, Mario Kart World has scattered missions for players to find and complete in between races. Nintendo has now shared what one of these missions will look like, as shared on X by Stealth40k.
The brief video shows Toadette hitting a P Switch to activate the mini-side-quest, giving players a sense of what to expect from missions in Mario Kart World. Fan reaction has been mixed, with some afraid the missions will be too easy, some happy with how fun they look, and everyone across the board praising the soundtrack.
