Bandai Namco has shared a new trailer for Digimon Story Time Stranger during the State of Play presentation. Besides giving us a glimpse at the story elements and gameplay, the video reveals that the turn-based RPG is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) on October 3.
Welcome to a New Version of the Digital World
Digimon Story Time Stranger is the latest entry in Bandai Namco's multimedia franchise of digital monsters, which was initiated back in 1997 as virtual pets. The game is part of the lineup of turn-based RPGs that started on the DS with Digimon World DS (in Japan, Digimon Story) and had its latest installment in Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory back in 2017.
The concept of these games revolves around gathering digital data on enemies and building your own party based on that. All of them also feature a digital farm where players can leave some of their partners for training while advancing through the story.
