Square Enix is celebrating the release of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles with a special Collector's Box, but it doesn't include the game itself. Collector's editions often stir up arguments about whether they're worth their price tag, and plenty of releases have drawn ire from fans for things like not including a physical game disc. The Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles Collector's Box goes a step further, though, as it doesn't have a copy of the game at all.
Fans were treated to the reveal that Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles would get two versions during PlayStation's June 4 State of Play. These include the Classic edition, which uses the original's graphics and gameplay with a few modernizations, and the Enhanced version, which offers remastered visuals, fully-voiced dialogue, and other improvements. Both versions are included with any copy of the game, but those buying the Collector's Box will have to get their copies separately to enjoy either experience.
